For QOTDly users
User Manual
Everything you need to know about answering daily questions, opening Mystery Boxes, building your collection, and keeping up with QOTDly.
Daily Questions
QOTDly automatically posts one daily question every day in the channel chosen by the server owner. Each question comes with a button.
You don't need to type your answer directly into the channel. Just click the button to open QOTDly's answer form.
Mystery Boxes
After answering the daily question, you'll receive a Mystery Box. Make sure to open it as soon as possible to discover your reward.
Possible rewards can include coins or collectibles. If you receive a collectible you already own, QOTDly automatically converts it into coins.
Coins
Coins are QOTDly's main currency. They can be earned through Mystery Box rewards and duplicate collectibles.
Coins can also be spent in QOTDly's shop to get additional Mystery Boxes.
Collectibles
Collectibles are part of your global QOTDly collection. You can collect items across all five rarities.
Use /collection to view your collection progress. If you already own the collectible you receive, QOTDly automatically converts it into coins.
Profile
Use /profile to view your QOTDly progress, including information such as coins, total answers, and collection progress.
Your progress is shared between all servers that use QOTDly.
Shop
Use /shop to purchase additional Mystery Boxes and speed up your collection progress.
Leaderboards
Use /leaderboard to see QOTDly's rankings.
Your global QOTDly progression is separate from your server leaderboard activity. If you're in multiple servers and grinding for a leaderboard, double-check the server before answering.
Public Answers
Server owners can optionally enable Public Answers. This feature is disabled by default.
When enabled, every daily question gets a thread called Today's Answers. You still answer the question through the normal form, and after submitting, QOTDly publishes your answer in the day's thread so the community can see and discuss everyone's answers.
Daily Thread Rotation
When a new daily question begins, QOTDly automatically handles the daily thread rotation:
- Locks and archives yesterday's answer thread.
- Disables yesterday's answer button.
- Posts the new daily question.
- Creates a new thread.
- Enables the new day's answer button.
Every Discord server has its own daily question and answer thread.
